Hot on the heels of their national tour with Strapping Young Lad, Sydney metallers Daysend have released their debut album 'Severance' out now on Chatterbox Records. Exploding on to the scene at the beginning of 2003, Daysend have been constantly touring nationally, building a great reputation as a strong live act and building a healthy fan base. 'Severance' contains 11 tracks of dominating riffs and slick melodies, and has been given praise by all forms of media. The track 'Countdown' has also been added to Triple J rotation. A big achievement for a local metal band. Produced by d.w Norton and Nik Tropiano, 'Severance' will not disappoint. FORT are the proud owners of one of the dirtiest rock n roll sounds in the Australia. Witness their power on the upcoming Grinspoon tour. Their world - sexual, alcohol-filled, and occasionally down right dirty! You'll find them guardians of the rock flame. It is shear brilliance to witness their psychedelic sex rock! No gimmicks, no postmodern guilt-trip bullshit, just heavy rock genius! Current single 'Deadweight' available now on Chatterbox Records/MGM Previously referred to as an enigmatic and esoteric act, ALCHEMIST believes they have now written a record that is both relevant and sincere. Almost two years in the writing, Austral Alien was motivated by real topics the band feels strongly about. It offers a number of opinions without preaching or moralizing. The album symbolizes a reinvention for the band without compromising Alchemist®s organic sound, uniqueness or weighty approach. It signifies their perceived difference within the metal genre, their geographic isolation from their peers and their ambition to write passionate, original and thought provoking music throughout their almost fifteen years of existence. Austral Alien personifies Alchemist circa 2003. It is passionate and uniquely heavy music from a dissimilar group who perceive their home to be a magical source of inspiration. Out now! Young and hot, THE WEEKEND recently completed their tour with label mates Skulker on the 22-date national 'Double Life' tour, presented by Triple J and Fly TV. Delivering a tight, hard "rock/pop noise", and lead by the lovely and talented Andrea Wass, The Weekend has already been wowing huge audiences with international opening slots for Green Day, Weezer and Dashboard Confessional. The tour coincides with the release of their new mini-album, "Kiss Kiss" out now on Chatterbox Records, with lead track "80s Rock Star" already receiving healthy airplay on Triple J.
